We kick off the new year with an exciting Episode 11 of the “Best of The Rich Eisen Show Podcast” with Chris Law, Chris Brockman and “consultant” Michael Del Tufo. It was an awesome first week of 2016 on the show and we bring you the absolute best of those interviews with our very own special brand of commentary in-between. First up, you’ll hear from one of our favorite guests, star of “Mike & Molly” and the winner of our Celebrity Pick 3 league, Billy Gardell.
The Pittsburgh native rode Antonio Brown and Cam Newton to the championship and called in this week brag, share his thoughts on the Steelers playoff chances this weekend against Cincinnati and offer up his go-to Primanti Brothers sandwich. Next, we heard from Marlon Wayans, who has a new movie out called “Fifty Shades of Black,” which is exactly what you think it is.
Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney checked in days before the National Championship game against his old school, Alamaba, as did Crimson Tide alumni and Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick before his squad takes on Pittsburgh in Saturday’s Wild Card matchup. One of the biggest viral stories from the week was Brian Urlacher’s new hair, so we had him on to talk about what’s it like to go from being Mr. Clean to Mr. Handsome.
Urlacher has taken a social media beating this week but was a great sport about the whole situation and even offered some insight on the Bears offseason and the Bucs surprising firing of Lovie Smith. We wrapped up with the other big news of the week, the Baseball Hall of Fame induction of Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza with former Mariners manager Lou Pinella, who checked in from the golf course to talk about The Kid and what he meant to the game.
As always, we offered some Wild Card Weekend insight, gave you our picks and played America’s favorite game “Stump Del Tufo!”
Thanks for listening and enjoy the football, everyone!
